Gunpla enthusiasts have a new model kit to try and acquire, as the GUNDAM BASE will soon be stocking a special limited-edition version of a popular kit.
The “MG 1/100 Gouf Ver.2.0 [Clear Color]” is a “clear color” variant of the “MG 1/100 Gouf Ver.2.0” Gunpla kit.
The original kit is a highly praised Gunpla kit known for its detailed inner frame, exceptional articulation, and faithful recreation of the Gouf’s animated appearance.

This kit is part of a trend where new color variants of popular kits are released exclusively through GUNDAM BASE stores.
The Master Grade (MG) line of model kits is a premium series produced by BANDAI SPIRITS at a 1/100 scale.
Introduced in 1995, MG kits are a step up from the more common High Grade (HG) kits as they featuring more intricate internal structures, a higher piece count, and a greater focus on detail and mechanical accuracy.

They are designed for more experienced builders who enjoy the process of assembling a complex, multi-layered model.
The Gouf, formally known as the MS-07B, is a ground-combat mobile suit used by the Principality of Zeon in the original “Mobile Suit Gundam” anime series (1979).

The Gouf is recognized for its unique built-in armaments, including a five-finger machine gun on its right hand and a heat rod, a whip-like weapon that can emit an electric shock, on its left.
The Ver.2.0 of the MG kit, first released in 2007, was particularly lauded for its ability to recreate dynamic poses from the anime.

This special clear color version of the kit offers a unique aesthetic, showcasing the model’s inner mechanical workings.
The outer armor parts are molded in two distinct shades of clear blue plastic, allowing light to pass through and reveal the detailed internal structure.

The joints and other inner components are molded in a metallic gray finish, providing a striking contrast to the transparent blue armor.
This design choice is a popular feature for limited-edition Gunpla, allowing builders to appreciate the engineering of the model and its inner frame even after assembly.
