Life is Strange: Reunion Details Leaked After European Game Rating Granted

A new installment in the “Life is Strange” series has been leaked through a rating published by the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) board.
The unannounced title, “Life is Strange: Reunion”, was seemingly rated in March 2025, according to the date listed on the rating, suggesting the game is already significantly into its development cycle.

This news comes just over a year after the release of the franchise’s latest entry, “Life is Strange: Double Exposure”, which launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on October 29, 2024.
The game was then ported to Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2024.

“Life is Strange: Reunion” has received a PEGI 16 rating due to the presence of strong language, use of illegal drugs, and strong violence.
This deems the content unsuitable for persons under 16 years of age.

The official description reveals a plot that reunites original series protagonists Max Caulfield and Chloe Price.
The outline states that Max’s greatest regret is the loss of Chloe, who has now arrived at Caledon University.

Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe is in need of Max’s assistance.
Max, however, is dealing with a crisis of her own, as a deadly inferno is scheduled to destroy the campus in three days.

The rating specifies several content issues that contributed to the mature rating.
The game features depictions of illegal drug use.
A scene at a party involves the player character being offered and taking a sip of wine, only to realize the drink was spiked.

This leads to hallucinations, with distorted on-screen images and a scene where a character states the player is “tripping balls,” before it is revealed that the character is high on mushrooms.
Depictions of strong, realistic violence are also included. In the game’s opening scene, a recap of prior series events shows a girl being shot in the torso.

She is then seen lying on the ground with blood seeping through her shirt.
Other violence is implied, such as a building being set on fire, with people heard screaming for help inside.
The title also includes strong language, such as ‘fuck,’ as well as milder bad language like ‘asshole,’ ‘piss,’ and ‘shit.’

Additionally, the game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, specifically new outfits and a digital deluxe upgrade.

Other potentially disturbing images include scenes of dead bodies with no blood or injury detail and human skeletons.
Sexual innuendo is present, such as a character suggesting someone did not show up to a party because their “girlfriend thought this was an orgy.”
The rating information also confirms that the sensitive topic of suicide is referenced frequently in the game, though no explicit depictions are shown.
