Kinnikuman’s legendary “Muscle Docking” move immortalized in massive new high-end statue
Figure manufacturer SpiceSeed has announced the upcoming release of a breathtaking new addition to their Kinnikuman series, capturing one of the most iconic moments in the history of the long-running wrestling franchise.
The company is set to open general pre-orders for a high-quality statue depicting the “Muscle Docking,” the ultimate tag team maneuver executed by the series’ titular hero and his partner.
Created by the manga duo Yudetamago in 1979, Kinnikuman began as a parody of Ultraman before evolving into a defining wrestling saga that sparked a massive boom in “Kinkeshi” erasers in the 1980s.
The series is renowned for its over-the-top special moves, but few hold as much weight as the “Muscle Docking.”
This combination technique, performed by the Muscle Brothers and later The Machineguns, involves two wrestlers docking in mid-air to execute a Kinniku (Muscle) Buster and a Kinniku Driver simultaneously on two opponents.
“Muscle Docking” is the perfect subject for a high-end collectible due to the extreme difficulty and coordination required to combine these two iconic techniques.
This imposing statue shows Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman Great performing the “Muscle Docking” technique on the tag team of Ashuraman and Sunshine.
It stands approximately 46.5cm tall, with a width of 40cm and a depth of 36.5cm, making it a centerpiece for any serious collection.
The complex sculpture was created by Yoshiki Ito, a renowned prototype sculptor and a dedicated fan of the series.
SpiceSeed is well-known among collectors for its focus on anatomical realism and “heavy weight” aesthetics, often choosing resin cast materials to capture muscle definition that standard PVC figures cannot achieve.
Ito utilized meticulous calculations to ensure the physics-defying docking maneuver looked visually coherent, perfectly recreating the overwhelming power and impact of the finishing move.
To further enhance the display, the figures are set upon a specialized diorama base modeled after a wrestling ring, allowing collectors to appreciate the dynamic action from a full 360-degree perspective.
Reflecting the premium materials and the sheer scale of the sculpture, the “Kinnikuman Series ‘Muscle Docking'” figure carries a substantial price tag of 327,800 yen (approx. $2,185 USD / £1,725 GBP).
Priority pre-orders for customers who have previously purchased “resin cast” products from SpiceSeed began on December 19, via the official SpiceSeed website.
General pre-orders are set to open on December 20, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
