On April 1, 2026, C2Architecture, the developer known for Kantai Collection, officially announced a new historical science-fiction strategy RPG titled Ki-Gou Keikaku.

C2Architecture revealed that Ki-Gou Keikaku was originally in development before the release of Kantai Collection, but was paused due to that game’s massive and unexpected success.

Development has progressed steadily over the last several years, allowing the project to expand into a large-scale production.

The announcement coincided with several April Fools’ Day events across the gaming industry on April 1, 2026, though the developer presented this as a significant upcoming project.

The studio’s official website also indicates that other new intellectual property projects are currently in progress beyond their established franchises.
