KATE collaborates with Ai Yazawa’s NANA to release limited-edition mascara

The global makeup brand KATE has announced a new collaboration with the popular manga series NANA by Ai Yazawa.
The collaboration will see the release of a limited-edition version of the brand’s “KATE Lash Burst” mascara, which will feature special designs inspired by the world of NANA.

“KATE Lash Burst” is a popular mascara known for its “all-direction burst formula,” which is designed to create long, voluminous, and curled lashes without clumps, giving an “explosion-level” beautiful finish.
The limited-edition “KATE Lash Burst (N)” will feature special packaging designs that are inspired by the two protagonists, Nana Osaki and Nana Komatsu (Hachi).

The designs incorporate various motifs from the series, such as lotus flowers, strawberries, and the key to room 707.

The mascara will be available in two different colors: BK-1 (Black) and BR-1 (Brown).

Both colors are waterproof, oil-proof, and contain olive oil as a lash repair ingredient.
To celebrate the launch, a special collaboration video for “KATE Lash Burst x NANA” has been released on KATE’s official YouTube channel.
Additionally, a social media campaign will be held on KATE’s official X account.
By following the account and reposting the campaign post, 300 participants will be chosen by lottery to receive a set of both mascara colors.
100 of these winners will also receive an original sticker.
The limited-edition “KATE Lash Burst (N)” mascara is a limited-quantity product.

It is scheduled to begin its rollout at drugstores, variety shops, and online retailers across Japan, starting on Tuesday, the 21st of October, 2025.

The social media campaign is scheduled to run from Friday, the 10th of October, to Thursday, the 16th of October, 2025.
