New 1/7 scale statues of Honoka and Marie Rose from “Dead or Alive 6” announced

Kaiyodo, a Japanese collectable manufacturer, has officially announced its will produce a pair of 1/7 scale figures based on two characters from Dead or Alive 6.
The new statues will be based on the popular characters Honoka and Marie Rose.

This move is sure to excite fans of the long-running Dead or Alive series and collectors of high-quality anime-style figures.
Dead or Alive 6 was first released in 2019 and is the sixth main installment in the Dead or Alive fighting game franchise.

The series first debuted in arcades in 1996 and was developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo.
The series is well-known for its fast-paced, counter-based combat system, intricate stage environments and its distinctive, often highly detailed, character models.

While critically acclaimed for its fighting mechanics, the Dead or Alive series has also garnered attention for its emphasis on character aesthetics, particularly the realistic portrayal of its female combatants.
Honoka and Marie Rose are two of the most popular characters in the Dead or Alive roster, each bringing a unique fighting style and personality to the game.
Honoka, who debuted in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, is known for her “Honoka-fu” style, which allows her to mimic various techniques she’s observed.

Her cheerful and somewhat naive personality, contrasted with her surprising combat prowess, has made her a fan favorite.
Marie Rose, introduced in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, is a Swedish-born fighter who utilizes a distinctive Russian Systema fighting style, characterized by her graceful yet unpredictable movements.

Her gothic lolita aesthetic and mischievous demeanor have also contributed to her significant popularity among the fanbase.
Kaiyodo announced that they will be producing new 1/7 scale statues of both characters on their official X account.
Specific details regarding the poses, release dates, or pricing for the Honoka and Marie Rose statues have not yet been disclosed, but the 1/7 scale is a common size for high-end anime and video game figures.
Although both characters have only been part of the series for a short time, they have been well received by fans and have appeared in multiple spin-offs and as guest characters in other series such as Senran Kagura, Warriors All-Stars and Azur Lane.

The announcement from Kaiyodo follows the recent unveiling of a pair of “NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge” action figures based on Ryu Hayabusa and Kasumi, two characters who also appear in the Dead or Alive games.
