Jujutsu Kaisen 5th anniversary stream set to include “Culling Game” arc anime update

A special broadcast has been announced to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the television anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen, based on the popular manga by Gege Akutami, has become a global phenomenon since its anime adaptation first began broadcasting.

To celebrate the milestone, a new, first-wave anniversary key visual has been released, which was newly drawn by the animation studio, MAPPA.
The celebratory artwork features a large cast of characters from the series, including the students from both the Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High schools, as well as teachers like Satoru Gojo and Kento Nanami.
The main event of the celebration will be a special anniversary program, which will be streamed online.

The broadcast will feature appearances from the three main voice actors of the series: Junya Enoki, the voice of Yuji Itadori; Yuma Uchida, the voice of Megumi Fushiguro; and Asami Seto, the voice of Nobara Kugisaki.
The program will include a look back at the history of the anime so far, as well as a segment on the mobile game, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade.

The highlight of the stream will be the reveal of “Five Major Announcements” related to the future of the franchise.

It has been confirmed that these announcements will include the latest information on the anime’s highly anticipated sequel, which will adapt the “Culling Game” arc from the manga.

New key visuals and promotional videos are also expected to be revealed during the broadcast.

The Jujutsu Kaisen 5th Anniversary Special Program is scheduled to be streamed on Sunday, the 31st of August, 2025 at 20:30 JST.
