Japanese Drift Master Finally Launches on PlayStation 5 in February

Developer Gaming Factory has officially announced that the PlayStation 5 version of its street racing title, JDM: Japanese Drift Master, will launch on February 6.

The game will be available for purchase at $34.99 USD.

This upcoming PS5 launch follows the game’s earlier releases on other platforms.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master first launched for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG on May 21, 2025.

It was later released for Xbox Series consoles on November 21, 2025.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master is an open-world simcade racer that invites players to immerse themselves in Japan’s car culture.

The game is set in the fictional Guntama prefecture, a diverse open world with over 250 kilometers of main roads inspired by real locations, including twisty mountain passes and urban areas.

It features a unique storyline about a young Polish driver named Touma, who aims to make a name for himself in the Japanese street racing scene, told through engaging, hand-drawn manga cutscenes.

The game features licensed JDM cars from iconic brands such as Mazda, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru, which players can fully customize and tune.

The PlayStation 5 version is set to release with all of the content, bug fixes, and game adjustments that have been applied to the PC and Xbox Series versions since the original May 2025 launch.

These updates include performance optimization, shortened loading times for the Open World and Fast Travel, and minor physics updates for the Arcade Driving model.

An update for PC and Xbox Series previously introduced five new cars from the Akina family, which are non-licensed vehicles inspired by Initial D, a popular street racing manga and anime, along with additional tracks for the Eurobeat radio station.

The downloadable content pack “Made in USA” will also be accessible to PS5 players on launch day.

This DLC, sold separately for $5.99 USD, hosts six unlicensed vehicles that are modeled after American muscle cars, allowing players to experience a taste of the American drifting scene.
