Into the Wind: A Ghibli-Inspired Cozy Adventure Revealed for PC

Publisher Three Friends and Swedish developer Bloom and Gloom announced a new cozy adventure game titled Into the Wind on June 7, 2026.

The project draws heavy inspiration from the works of Studio Ghibli, particularly the film Porco Rosso, and features a hand crafted art style.

Players explore the Adriatic islands of Santa Rosa while operating a delivery firm inherited from their uncle Umberto.

The gameplay focuses on the joy of the journey and involves navigating a sentient motorcycle plane named Ermes across a Mediterranean like archipelago.

Mechanics include managing cargo weight and fuel levels while dealing with environmental factors such as wind and weather.

The story follows the protagonist as they attempt to solve the mystery of their uncle’s disappearance and interact with the colorful residents of the islands.

Key features include the ability to customize characters and homes as well as the necessity to defend against rowdy air pirates.

Game director Robin Hjelte described the title as a love letter to anime and summer evenings, emphasizing momentum and flight mechanics.

The title was showcased during the PC Gaming Show 2026 and is scheduled to launch first in Early Access for PC via Steam.

While a specific release date has not been confirmed as of June 2026, the developers intend for the game to offer a satisfying loop of upgrades and exploration.
