Pokémon Mega Evolution Ichiban Kuji prize lineup fully revealed
A new “Ichiban Kuji” lottery from Bandai Spirits has been announced, with a theme dedicated entirely to the popular “Mega Evolution” mechanic from the Pokémon franchise.
“Ichiban Kuji” is a “no-lose” prize lottery system sold at convenience stores and hobby shops in Japan, where every ticket purchased wins an item from a tiered lineup of exclusive merchandise.
Mega Evolution, first introduced in the Pokémon X and Y games, is a fan-favorite feature that allows certain Pokémon to temporarily achieve a more powerful form in battle.
The upcoming Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A will see the return of Mega Evolution, including an all new Mega Evolution form for Dragonite.
This new lottery features a wide range of merchandise showcasing some of the most popular Mega Evolved Pokémon.
The top prizes are a series of plush toys of these powerful Pokémon, with a range of other smaller prizes also available.
The full prize lineup for the lottery is as follows:
- Prize A: Mega Charizard X Plush
- Prize B: Mega Charizard Y Plush
- Prize C: Mega Gengar Plush
- Prize D: Mega Gardevoir Plush
- Prize E: “Mega Gyarados Appears” Bowl
A special bowl where an image of Mega Gyarados appears when hot food or liquid is added.
- Prize F: Chilling Mega Evolution Glasses
A set of three glasses where the Mega Evolution symbol appears when a cold drink is poured in.
- Prize G: Hand Towels
A collection of six different hand towels featuring Mega Evolved Pokémon.
- Prize H: Lenticular Clear File & Sticker Set
A set of eight different clear files with a lenticular design that shows a Pokémon transforming into its Mega Evolved form when viewed from different angles.
- Prize I: Rubber Charms
A collection of eight different rubber charms featuring Mega Evolved Pokémon.
- Last One Prize: Mega Lucario Plush
A special plush of Mega Lucario, which is awarded to the person who purchases the final ticket from a set.
A “Double Chance Campaign” will also run, giving ticket holders a second opportunity to win one of fifty more of the same Mega Lucario plush through an online lottery.
The lottery will be available at participating bookstores, hobby shops, drugstores, Pokémon Centers, and official Ichiban Kuji shops.
The “Ichiban Kuji Pokémon ‘Mega Evolution'” is scheduled to begin its rollout at stores next month, on Saturday, the 30th of August, 2025, and the price for one ticket will be ¥700.
