hololive x Gundam Collab Teases Exclusive Gunpla Kits as First Wave Unveiled

Bandai has officially revealed the first wave of an exciting new crossover project blending the worlds of a legendary mecha franchise and a massively popular virtual idol agency.
The “Gundam Series x hololive production Special Collaboration” was first teased earlier this week, and it has now been confirmed that it is set to introduce a wide variety of themed content and exclusive merchandise for fans.

Mobile Suit Gundam began with a pioneering 1979 anime series that revolutionized the giant robot genre with its realistic representation of futuristic warfare and political drama.

hololive Production is a globally recognized virtual YouTuber agency featuring a massive roster of talented streamers, singers, and entertainers.

This newly revealed partnership will bring these two massive properties together for a highly unique multimedia experience and will make its debut at the upcoming “hololive Super Expo 2026” in Japan, where it will be shown off at a dedicated booth.

The collaboration will feature a series of entertaining mini-stories released across multiple episodes to flesh out the crossover narrative.
Fans can also look forward to original collaboration musical tracks and special music videos being rolled out sequentially.

The highlight of the crossover is a set of original mobile suit color variations designed to perfectly match the personal aesthetics of participating Hololive members.

The project will also showcase exclusive artwork, including custom outfits for the virtual idols and adorable chibi-style character designs.

A special merchandise line, heavily hinted in promotional videos to include themed Gunpla plastic models, is currently being prepared for a future release.

The first phase of the collaboration focuses on a carefully selected lineup of six popular talents paired with recognizable mechas.
