hololive x Gundam Collab Officially Announced by Bandai and Cover Corp

Bandai and Cover Corp have officially announced a collaboration between the Gundam series and the VTuber agency hololive production.
The new project represents a significant step in merging traditional mecha anime culture with the rapidly growing world of virtual creators.
The Gundam series is a legendary franchise that has influenced global pop culture through its exploration of war and human drama across multiple generations.

hololive production is a prominent virtual talent agency that manages a unique group of creators who engage with fans through live streaming and musical performances.

The fusion of these two massive fanbases is a strategic move that reflects the evolving landscape of Japanese entertainment in 2026.
This partnership follows a successful musical connection established between the two franchises during the previous year.
In 2025, hololive member Hoshimachi Suisei provided the music for the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

She performed the ending theme song titled “Mō dō nattemo ii ya” (I Do Not Care) as well as the insert song “Yoru ni Saku” (Bloom in the Night) for the third episode of the series.

The new project will officially launch with a physical presence at the upcoming “hololive SUPER EXPO 2026” event in Japan.

This announcement comes during a period of high activity for the Gundam franchise, following the theatrical success of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe.
The franchise has expanded its lifestyle offerings through the apparel brand STRICT-G which recently released reversible Sukajan jackets featuring the Xi and Penelope mobile suits from the latest film.

These jackets are crafted from premium satin and offer a dual look that switches between bold mobile suit embroidery and a subtle pilot suit aesthetic.
STRICT-G also recently partnered with the footwear brand PATRICK to release limited edition MARATHON sneakers themed after the Mafty organization.

These sneakers feature a navy blue base with vibrant orange accents and are manufactured in Japan to ensure professional quality and comfort for the wearer.
The collaboration will host a dedicated exhibition booth during “hololive SUPER EXPO 2026,” which is scheduled to run from March 6 to March 8, 2026.

Visitors who attend the booth at the venue will be eligible to receive exclusive collaboration logo stickers while supplies last.
Specific details regarding the contents of the booth and any future stages of the collaboration have not yet been fully revealed.
The distribution of commemorative stickers will be handled directly at the event location during the three-day exhibition period in Japan.
