hololive VTuber Houshou Marine's PUBG MOBILE collab event gets underway

A new in-game collaboration with popular VTuber Houshou Marine has begun in the globally popular battle royale game PUBG MOBILE.

Houshou Marine is a member of the third generation of hololive, a “pirate” themed character who is one of the most subscribed-to VTubers in the world.

This new partnership brings her unique and charming personality to the world of the hit shooter game.

The collaboration features a wide range of exclusive, in-game items that are themed around the hololive star.

Players can acquire a variety of cosmetic items, including two different costume skins, which are based on her standard outfit and her “30-year-old” outfit.

Two different “Voice Cards” are also available, which allow players to use a selection of her signature catchphrases in the game, such as her famous “Ahoy!” greeting.

Other items include a variety of themed sprays, profile icons, and frames.

These items are primarily available through a limited-time in-game “SPIN,” or gacha, system.

A special in-game event is also being held, where all players who log in during the campaign period can receive some of the collaboration items, including a limited “event” version of the voice card, for free.

To celebrate the collaboration, a special livestream has also been announced.

The stream will feature both Houshou Marine and her fellow hololive 3rd generation member, Usada Pekora, playing the game together.

The in-game collaboration began on Wednesday, the 10th of September, and is scheduled to run until the 10th of October, 2025.

The special collaboration livestream is scheduled to be broadcast on Friday, the 12th of September, at 10:00 PM Japan Standard Time via Houshou Marine’s official YouTube channel.
