Hatsune Miku’s Official Healthcare Collab Returns to Keep Fans Fit with New Smart Scales
Image by James RichardsonHatsune Miku’s official healthcare collection is expanding once again, with Tanita revealing a new smart scale that encourages fans to monitor their overall health alongside a range of other new devices and collectibles.
The latest releases continue a collaboration that began in 2019 with Miku-themed body composition monitors and pedometers before gradually expanding into timers, cooking scales, temperature and humidity monitors, coffee and other products designed around health and everyday living.
Leading the new collection is the “Voice Body Composition Monitor BC-204L Hatsune Miku Model,” priced at ¥24,750 (approx. $156 USD / £114 GBP), which updates Tanita’s previous Miku scale with Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone support.
The monitor measures weight, BMI, body fat percentage, muscle mass, estimated bone mass, visceral fat level, basal metabolic rate, metabolic age and body water percentage, with Miku reading out measurements and responding to the results using recorded voice lines.
Tanita’s “Step-On” recognition system can automatically identify registered users after they step onto the scale, while volume can be switched between off, low and high and an earphone jack provides another option for hearing Miku’s guidance.
Measurements can also be transferred to the HealthPlanet app, where users can track changes over time, and each monitor includes access to a special Hatsune Miku version of the app’s visual theme that is expected to become available during September.
The “Digital Thermo-Hygrometer TT-585 Piapro Characters Model,” priced at ¥3,520 (approx. $22 USD / £16 GBP), arrives in six versions featuring Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO using artwork by iXima originally created for the Piapro Characters Super Pack.
Designed to monitor room temperature and humidity, the updated device adds another practical home product to the collaboration and can also be used when maintaining comfortable conditions for pets or houseplants.
Also available is a new acrylic stand, priced at ¥1,650 (approx. $10 USD / £8 GBP), which features the collaboration’s current official illustration by Kurumitsu, which has been designed to sit alongside Tanita’s growing collection of Miku health equipment.
These additions arrive shortly after Tanita revealed its first Hatsune Miku voice blood pressure monitor, further pushing the collaboration from general lifestyle goods into products centered more directly around everyday health tracking.
The “Voice Blood Pressure Monitor BP-CU Hatsune Miku Model,” priced at ¥14,300 (approx. $90 USD / £66 GBP), guides users through the measurement process using Miku’s voice before providing comments based on the result, while a memory function can store up to 90 previous readings.
It also uses Tanita’s 3D Fit Cuff and includes a cuff-fit detection system intended to help users position it correctly before taking a reading.
The three newly announced products will go on sale from 9:00 AM JST on August 28 through the Tanita Online Shop and at the Tokyo venue for Hatsune Miku “Magical Mirai 2026,” where Tanita will also display product samples and hold body composition measurement sessions.
The Hatsune Miku blood pressure monitor remains available to pre-order through Tanita until September 7 at 3:00 PM JST, with shipping from mid-March 2027.
