Hatsune Miku's New Official Blood Pressure Monitor Encourages Fans to Stay In Shape

Tanita has announced a new collaboration with virtual singer Hatsune Miku, introducing the company’s first-ever voice-guided blood pressure monitor designed to make daily health tracking a more engaging experience.

Rather than relying on standard alerts, the special edition upper arm monitor features original Hatsune Miku voice guidance that walks users through each step of the measuring process while providing encouraging health messages based on their results.

During each reading, Hatsune Miku explains the setup procedure, guides users through the measurement process, and announces their systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate once the reading is complete.

The monitor also delivers a variety of supportive voice messages tailored to the measurement results, helping to encourage healthier daily habits in a more enjoyable way.

Voice samples released by Tanita include messages such as “Let’s start checking your health together!”, “Try cutting back on salt a little and don’t forget to get some exercise!”, and “Please take good care of yourself.”.

The device stores up to 90 previous measurements using its built-in memory function, making it easy for users to monitor long-term changes in their blood pressure.

It also features Tanita’s 3D Fit Cuff, which has been designed to wrap comfortably around the upper arm while helping reduce skin pinching and discomfort during use.

An additional cuff fit detection function checks whether the cuff has been fastened correctly and displays an indicator if it is wrapped too loosely, helping users achieve more accurate readings.

The monitor operates using four AA alkaline batteries and offers an estimated battery life of approximately 350 measurements when used once per day.

The collaboration combines practical health management with one of Japan’s most recognizable virtual performers, giving Hatsune Miku fans a unique way to incorporate regular blood pressure monitoring into their everyday routine.

The Hatsune Miku BP-CU Voice Blood Pressure Monitor is priced at ¥14,300 (approx. $97 USD / £72 GBP), with made-to-order reservations available via the official Tanita online store until September 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM, ahead of shipments beginning in mid-March 2027.
