Hatsune Miku is stepping into the dreamlike world of The Nutcracker for a new BANPRESTO EVOLVE figure, transforming the virtual singer into an elegant dancer inspired by one of classical ballet’s most famous works.

Developed by Crypton Future Media and first released as singing voice software in 2007, Hatsune Miku has grown far beyond her original digital roots to become a globally recognized virtual singer featured across concerts, games, merchandise and collaborations.

The new Hatsune Miku BANPRESTO EVOLVE Classical tuning – From “The Nutcracker Suite” – Figure continues a classical music-inspired branch of the EVOLVE range, following the Swan Lake-themed Miku released in February 2025.

Illustrator Arutera created the original artwork behind the new design, imagining Miku within the mysterious dream world of The Nutcracker before Bandai Spirits translated the illustration into three dimensions.

Her pose captures the movement of a ballet performance with one leg extended behind her and her body sweeping forward, while the expression and upright posture give the design a more composed edge than many of Miku’s brighter stage-inspired figures.

Particular attention has gone into the long strands of Miku’s signature twin-tails, which flow outward with the movement of the pose and help create a sense of motion around the sculpt.

The costume carries the theatrical theme through layered sculpting, delicate detailing and a restrained color palette, adapting Arutera’s illustration without losing the fantasy atmosphere surrounding the original artwork.

Standing approximately 24 cm tall, the figure is considerably larger than many standard arcade prizes and gives the sweeping hair, clothing and dance-inspired pose plenty of room to make an impact.

As a prize figure, the Hatsune Miku BANPRESTO EVOLVE Classical tuning – From “The Nutcracker Suite” – Figure will first be available from amusement centers and arcades across Japan when it releases on August 27, 2026.

It should also be available from local hobby goods retailers internationally around 1-2 months later, as most Banpresto figures receive a standard global retail release after this timeframe.
