Kaiyodo has now fully revealed its official action figure based on one of the strangest pieces of Hatsune Miku internet history, confirming exactly how the infamous fan-created character will work in articulated form.

The new “Revoltech Shiteyanyo” turns the surreal Piapro-recognized derivative character into an approximately 13 cm tall action figure, complete with fully articulated twin-tail legs and interchangeable expressions.

Shiteyanyo began life on February 2, 2010 as an illustration by artist Ryusei, reducing Hatsune Miku to little more than her head while transforming her famous turquoise twin-tails into a pair of enormous human-like legs.

The bizarre idea quickly spread through Japanese fan-art communities, with artist Deino’s subsequent “Shiteyanyo Kakanai ka” project helping the character become one of the more memorable memes associated with Miku’s early online history.

Despite originating as fan art, Shiteyanyo eventually became officially recognized through Piapro, allowing the character to continue appearing in licensed merchandise long after the original meme had faded from its early viral peak.

Kaiyodo first announced the Revoltech figure on September 7, showing its basic appearance and some early articulation but leaving its price, release date and complete specifications for a later reveal.

The finished figure stays remarkably close to Ryusei’s original illustration, recreating Shiteyanyo’s familiar Miku head, exaggerated expression and two long blue twin-tails that function as the character’s legs.

Those legs are also where Kaiyodo has concentrated most of the figure’s articulation, with double joints built into the knees and additional peg joints fitted into the toes.

The result gives Shiteyanyo far more posing freedom than its deliberately simple appearance might suggest, allowing the legs to bend, twist and support the kinds of awkward poses that made the original artwork so memorable.

A dedicated display stand is included to help with more exaggerated positions, particularly when the character’s unconventional proportions make balancing the figure by itself difficult.

Kaiyodo has also recreated more than one version of Shiteyanyo’s equally strange expression, with the standard forward-facing face joined by an interchangeable side-glance face based on Ryusei’s artwork.

Collectors ordering through Kaiyodo’s own stores will receive an additional winking face, adding a third expression that will not be included as part of the regular retail package.

This isn’t Shiteyanyo’s first official figure appearance, as Taito previously released a much smaller trading figure based on the meme in 2015, although Kaiyodo’s Revoltech version represents a considerably larger and more poseable interpretation.

The release sits at the complete opposite end of Kaiyodo’s recent Hatsune Miku output, with their “Kingyo Ver.” scale figure transforming Miku into a flowing goldfish-inspired statue.
