Hatsune Miku x Sonic music collab releases new Amy Rose themed song

The second track from the special “Project ONSOKU” musical collaboration between Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog and the virtual singer Hatsune Miku has been officially released.
The new song, “We Are Picopico Hammers!!!!,” was written and composed by the legendary Vocaloid producer, cosMo@Bousou-P.

“Project ONSOKU” is a major collaboration that will feature a total of five original songs from five different acclaimed producers, which are being released sequentially each week.

The first of these new songs was released on Thursday, the 28th of August.
That track, “Saiai Jinsei Runner” (“Beloved Life Runner”), was written and composed by the popular producer Kairiki Bear, and features jacket art by the illustrator Nou.
This new, second song is themed around the character Amy Rose and her Piko Piko Hammer.
The track is described as having a sporty rock sound, and its jacket illustration was created by the popular artist, Kurumitsu.
The full release schedule for the remaining three songs has also been confirmed:
- September 8th: “Jet Black” by Yunosuke
- September 15th: “Treasure Garden” by Ponchi♪
- September 22nd: “Denkousekka” by Camellia
All five of the collaboration songs will be included as in-game background music in the upcoming racing game, Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.

It has also been confirmed that Hatsune Miku will be added to the game as a playable racer in a free DLC update, complete with her own original machine, the “Diva Machina.”

A free, open network test for Sonic Racing Cross Worlds is also currently being held on all platforms and will be available until 1:00 PM Japan Standard Time on the 2nd of September, 2025.
