Hatsune Miku x Sonic collab releases new Chao themed song by Ponchi♪

Sega has released the fourth track from its special “Project ONSOKU” musical collaboration between Sonic the Hedgehog and the virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
“Project ONSOKU” is a major collaboration that features five original songs from five different acclaimed Vocaloid producers, which are being released sequentially each week.

The first song, “Saiai Jinsei Runner” by Kairiki Bear, was released on the 28th of August, followed by “We Are Picopico Hammers!!!!” by cosMo@Bousou-P on the 1st of September, and “Jet Black” by Yunosuke on the 8th of September.

This new, fourth song is titled “Treasure Garden,” and it was written and composed by the producer Ponchi♪.

The charming track is themed around the cute, virtual pet-like creatures from the Sonic series, the Chao.
In a comment, Ponchi♪ stated:
“Just as a small berry can seem to shine, or a flower blooming on the roadside can give you a dream, we used to call these kinds of simple, small joys our ‘treasures’ when we were young.
I wonder how many ‘treasures’ are sleeping in the garden of life? I would be happy if you could enjoy this ‘Treasure Garden’ together with the Chao!”
The release schedule for the fifth and final song in the project has also been confirmed.

“Denkousekka” by the producer Camellia is scheduled for release on the 22nd of September.
All five of the collaboration songs will be included as in-game background music in the upcoming racing game, Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.

It has also been confirmed that Hatsune Miku will be added to the game as a playable racer in a free DLC update, complete with her own original machine, the “Diva Machina.”
