Hatsune Miku to headline a special live concert for Lawson’s 50th Anniversary
A special live arena concert has been announced, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Japanese convenience store chain, Lawson, in a major collaboration with the virtual singer Hatsune Miku.
The new event is a continuation of the long and successful partnership between the two, which has seen numerous joint campaigns held together over the years.
The “Hatsune Miku LAWSON 50th Anniversary Special LIVE” will be a 3DCG concert featuring Hatsune Miku and the other five Piapro Characters.
A new main visual for the event has been released, which was drawn by the popular illustrator Hanekoto.
The artwork features Miku in a new, ornate costume that incorporates Lawson’s signature blue and white color scheme, and she is holding a microphone designed to look like a barcode scanner.
The background of the art also features Lawson’s famous “Karaage-kun” fried chicken mascot characters.
The concert will feature a unique setlist, including songs that will be performed live for the first time, and a brand-new, original theme song for the event is also currently in production.
A special performance has also been confirmed for the song “Idol Senshi” (“Idol Warrior”), which is the official theme song for the separate “Gundam 45th Anniversary x Hatsune Miku” collaboration project.
The concert will be a multi-day event, with three separate performances held over two days.
Tickets are being sold through a multi-phase lottery system, with a premium “50th Anniversary Special Seat” tier available that includes a commemorative laminate pass as a bonus gift.
The “Hatsune Miku LAWSON 50th Anniversary Special LIVE” will be held at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The three concert performances are scheduled for Saturday, the 17th of January, and Sunday, the 18th of January, 2026.
The ticket prices are ¥14,000 for a Special Seat, and ¥10,000 for a standard reserved seat.
The first lottery pre-sale for tickets is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, the 3rd of September, at 12:00 PM Japan Standard Time, via the official Lawson Ticket website.
