Hatsune Miku themed earplugs are here to protect your ears at concerts
A new 2025 version of a popular collaboration between the virtual singer Hatsune Miku and the live music earplug brand, Thunderplugs, has been announced.
The new product is a limited-edition set of high-fidelity earplugs designed for use at concerts and other loud music events.
The partnership aims to provide hearing protection to the large and growing audience of online music fans and concert-goers.
This new 2025 model of the earplugs features an internal music filter manufactured by the Swedish company, “Happy Ears.”
This filter is designed to reduce volume by a flat 25 decibels across the entire frequency spectrum, which protects the user’s hearing without distorting the sound of the music.
The earplugs themselves are colored to match Hatsune Miku’s signature teal/green color.
For the second year in a row, the packaging for the collaboration features a new, original illustration of Hatsune Miku created by the popular artist, apapico.
The product also comes with a dedicated aluminum carrying case, which is decorated with the official Hatsune Miku logo.
The “Thunderplugs Hatsune Miku Collab Model 2025” is priced at ¥4,500.
It will have an advance, in-person pre-sale at the upcoming “Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2025” festival.
The pre-sale will take place at the Osaka tour venue, from this Saturday, the 9th of August, to the 11th of August, 2025.
The general release of the earplugs at the official Dirigent online shop and other national retailers is scheduled for Monday, the 1st of September, 2025.
