Hatsune Miku Teams Up with Makeship for Exclusive New MIKU EXPO 10th Anniversary Plush
Image by James RichardsonA new Hatsune Miku plush based on the fan-designed costume created for MIKU EXPO’s 10th anniversary is now available to order, with Crypton Future Media teaming up with Makeship for the limited-time release.
The “MIKU EXPO 10th Anniversary Costume Contest Plush” recreates Miku in the winning outfit selected for the anniversary tour rather than her familiar standard appearance, turning a design originally created by fans into official merchandise.
The costume originated from the official MIKU EXPO 10th Anniversary Costume Design Contest held ahead of the 2024 North American tour, which challenged fans around the world to design a new Miku outfit around the theme of “Universal Positivity”.
More than 300 designs were submitted before the winning costume created by NICOYUKA and Narushima was selected as the Grand Prize winner.
The prize went considerably further than simply having the artwork displayed, as Miku actually wore the winning costume during performances throughout the MIKU EXPO 2024 North America tour.
It was created to accompany “M@GICAL☆CURE! LOVE ♥ SHOT!” by SAWTOWNE, which won the separate MIKU EXPO 10th Anniversary Song Contest and subsequently became part of the anniversary tour’s live set.
The new Makeship plush brings that costume back more than two years after the anniversary tour, recreating its predominantly white stage outfit alongside the colorful details that reference the “Universal Positivity” theme.
Miku’s familiar teal twin-tails and headset remain instantly recognizable, while the much more elaborate anniversary clothing makes this noticeably different from the standard Hatsune Miku plush Makeship previously released in 2024.
Makeship specializes in limited-time crowdfunded merchandise, meaning products like this are generally produced after their campaign closes rather than remaining permanently available as conventional stocked releases.
The “MIKU EXPO 10th Anniversary Costume Contest Plush” officially became available through Makeship on August 31, 2026 and has been confirmed by Hatsune Miku’s official global account as a limited-time release.
It is currently available to order directly through Makeship for $29.99 USD, with international shipping also available through the platform.
