Hatsune Miku Gets Ironmouse-Inspired Makeover for New Official Halloween Collaboration
Image by James RichardsonSEGA has officially teamed up with popular VTuber Ironmouse for a special Hatsune Miku Halloween collaboration, introducing exclusive costumes and other rewards to its mobile rhythm game.
The new “2026 Halloween Premium Gift Gacha” in HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! features character outfits developed with Ironmouse and illustrator Rosuuri, giving Miku a supernatural makeover inspired by the streamer’s signature appearance.
Hatsune Miku is the virtual singer developed by Crypton Future Media, first introduced in 2007 as a voice synthesizer that allows musicians to create songs using her distinctive singing voice.
She has since become a global pop culture phenomenon, appearing in concerts, video games and collaborations with artists and brands around the world.
HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE!, also known as Project SEKAI, is a rhythm game developed by Colorful Palette and SEGA that combines songs from the Vocaloid community with an original story featuring five groups of characters who encounter the virtual singers in mysterious worlds known as SEKAI.
Ironmouse is an American VTuber and singer known for her demon queen persona, energetic streams and distinctive pink-and-purple character designs, having built a large international following through Twitch and YouTube.
For this Halloween collaboration, Ironmouse served as design director, with the initial concept developed by artist epebe and the final costumes and promotional illustrations created by Rosuuri.
Rosuuri has previously designed several of Ironmouse’s virtual avatars and has also worked with Hatsune Miku on official artwork and merchandise, including a scale figure based on an original illustration created for MIKU EXPO’s 10th anniversary.
The new design gives Miku pink devil horns, purple bat wings and a dress incorporating Ironmouse’s signature colors, alongside oversized bows, a heart-shaped belt buckle and decorative chains.
A matching male version of the costume has also been created, with KAITO appearing in a pink-and-purple jacket featuring a heart-shaped opening across the chest, accompanied by horns and wings.
Both designs are available as in-game costumes, allowing players to dress compatible characters in the outfits during the game’s animated 3D music performances.
The crossover also includes a free login bonus avatar for players, alongside an exclusive illustration by Rosuuri that can be used within the game.
To celebrate the collaboration, SEGA has organized a series of promotional livestreams involving Ironmouse and seven other content creators, with additional details about the participating streamers and their broadcasts being announced separately.
Ironmouse has also revealed a special Miku-inspired version of her own VTuber avatar, reversing the collaboration’s original concept by incorporating Hatsune Miku’s familiar turquoise twin-tails and outfit into her demon-themed appearance.
HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! regularly collaborates with major franchises, including a special Persona 5 Royal crossover in August 2025, which introduced costumes, music and other content inspired by Atlus’ popular RPG.
The partnership later inspired a new wave of official Persona 5 collaboration merchandise, featuring Miku and the other virtual singers dressed in outfits based on the Phantom Thieves.

The “2026 Halloween Premium Gift Gacha” launched in the English-language version of HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! on October 14, 2026, with the limited-time costumes available until November 6 at 11:59AM Pacific Time.
The costumes are obtained through the game’s premium gacha system, whereas the collaboration’s login bonus provides a separate free reward for participating players.
