Hatsune Miku collaborates with Taiko no Tatsujin for new summer event

Bandai Namco has launched a new collaboration event with the virtual singer Hatsune Miku in its popular rhythm game, Taiko no Tatsujin: Donderful Festival.
The new event, titled the “Summer Hatsune Miku Song Festival!,” began on Friday, the 1st of August, 2025.

This collaboration introduces a wide range of new content to the game, which is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A total of nine new songs performed by Hatsune Miku have been added to the game’s paid subscription service, the “Taiko Music Pass.”

The new songs include a variety of classic and popular Vocaloid tracks.
The list of new music is as follows:
- “Monitoring” by DECO*27 feat. Hatsune Miku
- “Mimukau~wa Nice Try” by Nununununununununununu
- “Sea Lily Deep Sea Tale” by n-buna
- “Sand Planet” by Hachi feat. Hatsune Miku
- “Love Me, Love Me, Love Me” by Kikuo feat. Hatsune Miku
- “Love Trial” by 40mP feat. Hatsune Miku
- “Kagerou Daze” by Jin feat. Hatsune Miku
- “The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku” from “Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- 2nd”
- “Rolling Girl” by wowaka feat. Hatsune Miku
In addition to the new music, a limited-time free update has been released.

By playing any of the new collaboration songs, players can unlock four exclusive “Puchi Chara” (chibi characters) featuring new artwork of Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and Megurine Luka.

These unlocked characters can be kept and used permanently even after the event period ends.

During the event, a special performance background will also appear when players play the collaboration songs.

The availability period for the Puchi Chara and the special background runs from today until the 19th of November, 2025.

A social media campaign has also been launched to celebrate the collaboration.
Fans who follow the official social media account (@taiko_kateiyou) and repost the campaign message will be entered into a lottery to win one of fifty sets of four original rubber mascots.

This campaign will run from today until 11:59 PM on the 14th of August, 2025.

Bandai Namco is also collaborating with Hatsune Miku and the PROJECT SEKAI mobile game, which will see virtual singers paired with Tamagotchi characters.
