Gundam Wing’s Stunning Wing Zero EW Souvenir Jacket Gets Official US Re-Release
Image by Charlotte DavisBandai has officially confirmed that one of Gundam Wing’s most sought after pieces of apparel is returning for another production run, with their popular reversible Wing Gundam Zero EW souvenir jacket set to get a re-release in the US.
The “STRICT-G Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz WING GUNDAM ZERO EW PATTERN Souvenir Jacket” was originally created by Bandai’s dedicated Gundam fashion label STRICT-G in 2025 to celebrate 30 years since Mobile Suit Gundam Wing first aired, taking inspiration from Heero Yuy’s final Mobile Suit in Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.
Its design uses the classic sukajan format, a Japanese souvenir jacket style known for glossy satin fabric and extensive embroidered artwork.
The main side uses a blue and white color scheme that immediately recalls Wing Gundam Zero EW, with embroidered feathered wings positioned across the front.
A much larger illustration covers the back, recreating Wing Gundam Zero EW holding its signature Twin Buster Rifle while using detailed embroidery rather than a conventional printed graphic.
That combination works particularly well with the Mobile Suit’s Endless Waltz redesign, where its enormous feathered Wing Binders already give Wing Zero an appearance that fits naturally alongside the dramatic imagery traditionally associated with sukajan jackets.
The jacket can then be completely reversed for a considerably more understated second appearance, replacing the white sections with champagne gold while retaining blue across the main body.
This side shifts the focus away from Wing Zero itself and toward the Preventer organization, with its emblem embroidered on the front and a large “Preventer A.C.19” design across the back.
A reversible zipper allows the jacket to function properly from either side, effectively providing two substantially different Gundam Wing designs within the same piece of apparel.
Both outer faces use polyester satin, while the ribbed sections combine acrylic, wool and polyurethane.
Pre-orders for the new US re-release opened through Premium Bandai US on September 2 and are currently scheduled to remain available until October 14 at 10:59 AM EDT, although reservations may close earlier if the available allocation sells out.
The “STRICT-G Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz WING GUNDAM ZERO EW PATTERN Souvenir Jacket” is priced at $295 and is scheduled to ship in November 2026.
