Gundam SEED Destiny’s Legend Gundam to get a new High Grade kit

A new model kit of the Legend Gundam from “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny” has been announced by Bandai Spirits.
The new product was revealed during the “2nd Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Broadcast.”

The kit will be released as part of the “High Grade” (HG) line, a popular series of 1/144 scale model kits known for a good balance of detail, articulation, and ease of assembly.

The Legend Gundam is a powerful, late-series mobile suit piloted by the character Rey Za Burrel, and serves as one of the final antagonists in the 2004 anime.

This new model kit will be a modern recreation of the iconic design.

It was confirmed during the broadcast that the kit will incorporate the “SEED Action System,” a specialized internal articulation structure that is featured in the latest High Grade Gundam SEED model kits.

This system is designed to allow for a wide range of forward, backward, and side-to-side motion, enabling the model to replicate the dynamic and acrobatic action poses seen in the anime.

This new kit will offer fans a highly posable and modern version of the fan-favorite antagonist mobile suit.
The “HG 1/144 Legend Gundam” will be priced at ¥3,080 (approx. $21 USD/£15 GBP) and it is scheduled to be released in January 2026.
