Gundam: IBO’s Mikazuki inspires awesome new official flight jacket

Pre-orders are set to open for a new collaboration flight jacket from the Gundam-themed apparel brand STRICT-G, this time featuring the world of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
The “STRICT-G ALPHA Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans MA-1 Mikazuki Augus” model jacket is a collaboration with ALPHA INDUSTRIES, a renowned military brand founded in 1959 and famous for its authentic, high-quality MA-1 flight jackets.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is a popular series in the Gundam franchise, known for its gritty story following the child soldiers of the mercenary group Tekkadan.

Mikazuki Augus is the series’ main protagonist and the ace pilot of the Gundam Barbatos.

This new MA-1 jacket is based on ALPHA’s classic design, featuring a wind-resistant, matte-finish nylon shell, ribbed cuffs and collar, and a zipper flap for increased insulation.

It comes in a classic sage green color, customized with several patches, including a Tekkadan emblem on the right chest and a Mikazuki motif on the right arm.

A removable ALPHA logo patch is on the left chest; when detached, it reveals the name “MIKAZUKI AUGUS” hidden underneath.

The back of the jacket features a large, premium sheep leather patch of the Tekkadan mark.

As a special bonus, customers who purchase the jacket will receive a free acrylic stand featuring a new illustration of Mikazuki Augus (one stand per jacket).

This bonus is available for both online and in-store purchases.

This is one of several new ALPHA INDUSTRIES jackets recently announced by STRICT-G.
It joins another new release, a striking blue and orange MA-1 themed after Hathaway Noa from Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash.

A pair of flight jackets inspired by the characters Athrun Zala and Cagalli Yula Athha from Gundam SEED FREEDOM has also been recently revealed.

The “STRICT-G ALPHA MA-1 Mikazuki Augus” model is priced at 46,200 yen (approx. $299.88 USD / £228.30 GBP) and is available in sizes S to XXL.
Pre-orders will open on the Premium Bandai “STRICT-G Online Store” on November 7 and will run for a limited time until November 16.

The jacket is scheduled to ship in November 2025.
A general in-store release is scheduled to follow immediately on Saturday, November 8, at STRICT-G locations in Japan (Tokyo Odaiba, Tokyo Solamachi, NEOPASA Shizuoka, and Taga SA).
