Gundam Card Game's 1st Anniversary Booster to Feature G Gundam and SEED Destiny

Bandai has officially announced the release of Booster Pack Vol. 5 “Freedom Ascension [GD05]” as the centerpiece of the Gundam Card Game’s first-anniversary celebrations.

Scheduled for a worldwide simultaneous launch on Saturday, July 25, 2026, this commemorative expansion introduces fan-favorite mobile suits from two distinct eras of the franchise.

The set marks the debut of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, featuring the iconic Strike Freedom Gundam as a powerful Blue card.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam also joins the roster for the first time, bringing Shining Gundam and pilot Domon Kasshu to the game as White cards.

The “Shining Finger” attack will also be included as a Command card, allowing players to replicate the anime’s signature moves on the tabletop.

To support new players jumping in during the anniversary, a “Custom Deck Box [SC01]” containing 125 reprint cards and eight packs of Freedom Ascension will launch on the same day.

This reveal was part of the broader “GUNDAM CARD GAME NEXT STRATEGY 2026” broadcast, which outlined the release schedule for the first half of the year.

Prior to the anniversary set, Booster Pack Vol. 4 “Phantom Aria [GD04]” will arrive on April 25, 2026, introducing Victory Gundam and Turn A Gundam.

This April release also implements a new system where existing series like The Witch from Mercury appear in new colors, such as Green.

A starter deck collaboration with the mobile game SD Gundam G Generation Eternal follows on June 27, 2026, featuring multiplayer-focused cards.

The presentation also highlighted the game’s rapid growth, celebrating over 500 million cards shipped worldwide and 700,000 event participants.
