Gundam Base exclusive “MGEX Strike Freedom [TWILIGHT COATING]” revealed by Bandai Spirits

Bandai Spirits has announced a new Gundam Base exclusive Gunpla, the “MGEX 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam [TWILIGHT COATING]”.

This new kit is a special version of the “MGEX 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam,” which was the second release in the ultra-high-end MGEX (Master Grade EXtreme) brand.

The original 2022 release is highly sought after by builders for its extreme complexity and unparalleled detail.

The Strike Freedom Gundam is the iconic and powerful mobile suit piloted by protagonist Kira Yamato in the latter half of the popular anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny.

The MGEX line represents the “EXtreme” of Gunpla technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a model kit, such as the original’s multi-layered, metallic-plated internal frame.

This new “TWILIGHT COATING” version swaps the original’s well-known blue, gold, and red for a completely new, angelic color scheme.

The entire mobile suit is finished in a pure, pearlescent white, with pale blue accents used for the highlighting colors.

The “MGEX 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam [TWILIGHT COATING]” is priced at 66,000 yen (approx. $428.70 USD / £343.50 GBP).

It is scheduled to be released exclusively at Gundam Base locations on December 13, 2025.

Product samples are planned for display soon at the Gundam Base locations in Tokyo, Fukuoka, and New Chitose Airport.
