Genshin Impact’s Luna VI Update Arrives April 8

Developer miHoYo has officially announced that the Version Luna VI update for Genshin Impact, titled Song of the Welkin Moon: Rondo – Augured Homecoming, is scheduled to launch on April 8, 2026.
This major expansion introduces players to the expansive northern reaches of the Mondstadt region, where the peaceful flower fields transition into the active commercial hub of Dornman Port.
The update features the Temple of Space, a massive structure floating high in the clouds that contains fragments created by Asmoday, the sovereign of sky and space.
Explorers will encounter various realms within the temple that are modeled after ancient civilizations such as Liyue and Sumeru, utilizing a new interaction mechanic to manipulate space and reveal hidden paths.
A new playable character named Linnea will make her debut as a five-star Geo Bow wielder who serves as a fae naturalist and advisor to the Adventurers’ Guild.
Linnea is designed to provide tactical support for teams focusing on Lunar-Crystallize reactions, possessing the ability to convert Hydro-Crystallize reactions and summon a companion named Lumi to decrease enemy Geo resistance.
The first phase of the Event Wishes, starting on April 8, 2026, will feature Linnea alongside the returning character Chasca, while the second phase will offer players another opportunity to obtain Nefer and Lauma.
Players can also participate in a trade show event hosted by the Voynich Guild in Nod-Krai, which includes cooperative aerial challenges and a fast-paced barrage shooter to earn the character Jahoda for free.
The wilderness near Dornman Port will host a new world boss known as the Watcher: Fallen Vigil for players to challenge.
Quality of life improvements are also coming to Miliastra Wonderland, including increased player lobby capacity and enhanced tools for skill customization and special effects editing.
Genshin Impact remains available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and mobile devices, as it prepares for its April 8, 2026, content release.
