Full details revealed as orders open for the new “HG 1/144 Legend Gundam” Gunpla kit
Full product details have been revealed for the new “HG 1/144 Legend Gundam” Gunpla model kit from Bandai Spirits.
This release brings a modern version of the fan-favorite antagonist mobile suit to the High Grade (HG) 1/144 scale line.
The Legend Gundam is a powerful, late-series mobile suit piloted by the character Rey Za Burrel in the classic 2004 anime, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny.
This new model kit has been developed with the latest High Grade format and technology.
It incorporates the “SEED Action System,” a specialized internal articulation structure that is featured in the most recent Gundam SEED model kits, which allows for a wide range of dynamic and anime-accurate posing.
The kit comes with a comprehensive set of accessories and gimmicks to recreate the mobile suit’s full arsenal.
The backpack is highly articulated, and its remote “DRAGOON” weapon pods can be moved forwards and backwards.
Special, clear effect parts are also included to replicate the “Beam Spikes” that emerge from the larger DRAGOON pods.
The grips for the two beam javelins can be stored inside the leg armor, and a separate effect part is included to display the beam shield.

The “HG 1/144 Legend Gundam” is priced at ¥3,080, and it is scheduled to be released in January of 2026.
Pre-orders for the new kit began at various hobby goods retailers on Wednesday, the 27th of August, 2025.
