Frostpunk Switch Release Confirmed by 11 bit studios

11 bit studios has announced that the survival city builder Frostpunk will be released for the Nintendo Switch.

Lead designer Jakub Stokalski shared that bringing the game to the handheld platform is a dream come true for the development team.

While the studio confirmed the port on April 6, 2026, a specific launch date for the Switch version has not been established yet.

This new version aims to deliver the full experience of the original title, including its difficult moral choices and strategic gameplay, for players on the move.

The original game first arrived on PC on April 24, 2018, before expanding to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 11, 2019.

Mobile gamers received access to the title on iOS and Android devices on October 29, 2024.

In addition to the Switch port, the franchise will see the release of Frostpunk 1886, which is described as a definitive version featuring a significant amount of new content.

The announcement comes as part of a wider celebration of the series, which has also seen the development of a direct sequel.
