‘Frieren’ themed train will take to the rails in Tokyo this May

A train that links Tokyo to one of its airports will be transformed in a new collaboration with popular anime series ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’.

Keisei Electric Railway will hold the collaboration event titled “Keisei no Frieren”, from Saturday, May 10th, 2025, to Saturday, August 9th, 2025.

New artwork has been created for the collaboration

The collaboration will take place on Keisei’s ‘Skyliner’ service, which is an airport limited express train service between Tokyo and Narita Airport in Japan.

The Keisei Skyliner runs from Narita Airport to Tokyo

During the event, one Keisei Skyliner train will be wrapped with special graphics featuring characters from ‘Frieren’.

Car number 1 at the front of the train will feature the ‘hero party’ and car number 8 at the back of the train will feature Frieren’s ‘new party’, which consists of herself, Stark and Fern.

Other graphical elements showcasing the world of ‘Frieren’ will feature down the side of the train on cars 1 and 5:

‘Frieren’ themed graphics will also appear on the side of car 1 (top) and car 5 (bottom)

Alongside the new train livery, customers who intend to travel on the Skyliner during the event period will be able to purchase tickets that include a limited-edition collaborative acrylic stand set.

A special event recreating the world of the “Ruins of the King’s Tomb,” which appeared as the second examination venue in the First-Class Mage Examination arc of the TV anime, will be held at the former Hakubutsukan-Dobutsuen Station, which was abolished in 2004 before being renovated and re-opened to the public in 2018.

A special event will be held at Hakubutsukan-Dobutsuen Station

The event will make you feel as if you have stepped into the “Tomb of the Fallen King,” with photo panels of many characters including the Replica Frieren that appeared in the First-Class Mage Examination arc, and a life-sized Mimic photo spot where you can actually put your head inside.

Various character panels and photo spots will be available inside the exhibit

The ticket includes a clear file featuring the hero party and the Hakubutsukan-Dobutsuen Station, and in addition, tickets with an acrylic stand featuring illustrations of Frieren and the station are also available.

All tickets for the ‘Tomb of the Fallen King’ event will include a clear file (right) and an additional fee can be paid to receive an exclusive acrylic stand (left)

A stamp rally will also be held across seven stations on the Keisei Line, offering limited-edition goods upon completion.

The stamp stamp rally will be a paid event, costing 500 yen to participate, whereby you collect stamps installed at 7 designated Keisei Line stations.

Participants will receive a stamp rally kit which randomly includes one of two types of postcards: one featuring the collaboration key visual and the other featuring the hero party and the Hakubutsukan-Dobutsuen Station.

If you collect stamps from 5 stations, you can turn in the stamp rally kit at a designated location to receive one random collaboration original can badge.

Participants in the stamp rally will receive exclusive can badges as rewards

For those who wish to receive a complete set of badges, you can purchase 8 stamp rally kits and upon completing 5 stamps on each you can exchange them for a complete set of can badges.

Original goods featuring mini-character illustrations from the collaboration will also be sold at participating stores during the event at a location outside the ticket gate at Keisei Ueno Station (in front of the large staircase), and via select online stores.
