Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End x Licca-chan doll collaboration announced

A new collaboration has been announced, bringing together the world of the hit anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and Japan’s iconic dress-up doll, Licca-chan.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a widely acclaimed series, based on the manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, that began its anime broadcast in September 2023.

It follows the long-lived elf mage Frieren as she embarks on a new journey to “know humans” after the death of her former companion, Himmel.
The series is celebrated for its mix of comedy and action, and a second season is scheduled to premiere in January 2026.

This new “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Licca-chan,” created by Takara Tomy, re-imagines the series’ protagonist as a Licca-chan doll.

The collaboration features a special design that meticulously recreates Frieren’s hairstyle, outfit, and signature elf ears.
Special attention was paid to the details, with the doll using the first-ever hair color in the Licca-chan line to match Frieren’s, as well as two-tone green eyes.

The elf ears are reproduced using a “patent-pending special part” and are removable.
The doll’s outfit is also highly detailed.

The gold piping on the cape and dress, as well as the striped inner shirt, are made from sewn satin ribbons rather than printed fabric.
The cape is detachable, allowing the doll to be displayed in her dress as well.

The doll’s full contents include:
- The main doll (wearing dress and undergarments)
- Removable Frieren ear parts
- Removable earrings
- Tights
- Boots

The “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Licca-chan” is priced at ¥5,500 (approx. $35.72 USD / £27.15 GBP).
It is scheduled to be released on December 27 and will be available for purchase at toy stores and department stores across Japan, as well as via online retailers, including the official Takara Tomy Mall.
