Wendy’s releases new Takoyaki Burger for Osaka Expo

Wendy’s Japan are launching a limited-time menu featuring four “Osaka Umaimon Gourmet” items.
This promotional menu is designed to capitalize on the anticipated influx of visitors to Osaka due to the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, which is scheduled to run from April 13th to October 13th, 2025.
The menu will be available at Wendy’s First Kitchen and First Kitchen locations nationwide, with some exceptions, from March 27th.
Wendy’s First Kitchen is a fast food chain that combines the American burger chain Wendy’s and the Japanese hamburger and pasta chain “First Kitchen”.
In addition to Wendy’s hamburgers, the combined restaurants also offers First Kitchen’s menu which features a wider range of options, including fresh pasta. Currently, there are 75 Wendy’s First Kitchen stores in Japan, mainly in the Kanto and Kansai regions.
The “Osaka Umaimon Gourmet” menu aims to highlight local Osaka cuisine through unique interpretations of familiar dishes.
The menu includes the following items:
“Osaka Gourmet” Takoyaki Burger – 780 yen

This burger features three takoyaki balls, a popular Osaka street food, incorporated into the sandwich alongside one of Wendy’s 100% beef patties.
The Wendy’s First Kitchen and First Kitchen versions of this burger have variations in patty flavor and shape, as the Wendy’s version will feature their signature square patty.
The burger will also not be available at the following locations: WFK Namba Ebisubashi store, WFK Kyoto Shinkyogoku store, WFK Tempozan Marketplace store, Aqua City Odaiba store and Racecourse stores.
“Osaka Gourmet” Takoyaki-flavored Fries – M: 380 yen, L: 430 yen, boxed fries: 700 yen

These fries are seasoned with a flavor intended to replicate the taste of takoyaki, including takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise.
“Osaka Gourmet” Mixed Juice Tapioca Milk – 680 yen

This beverage combines the flavor of mixed juice, a popular Osaka drink, with milk and tapioca pearls.
“Osaka Gourmet” Sparkling Milk Juice Tapioca – 620 yen

This drink combines the mixed juice with sparkling water and tapioca pearls.
The four new menu items are set to be available until mid-May, giving customers plenty of time to try the new Osaka themed treats.
