First look at new figures of Persona 3/5 Dancing’s protagonists revealed

Persona 3 and 5 Dancing

Good Smile Company revealed a first look at new figures based on the protagonists of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight at their recent Smile Fest 2025 event.

Unpainted prototypes for Makoto Yuki (Persona 3) and Ren Amamiya (Persona 5), also commonly referred to as “Joker” were showcased, offering a first look at these upcoming collectibles.

Persona 5 Dancing

The Persona series, developed by Atlus, is a long-running and highly regarded RPG franchise, known for its unique blend of modern-day Japanese high school life, psychological themes, and supernatural elements.

The series is so popular that Atlus recently announced a remake of the fan favorite Persona 4, which will be titled Persona 4 Revival.

Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight are rhythm game spin-offs that allow fans to see their favorite characters engage in dance performances, often featuring unique, casual attire not seen in the main RPG titles.

Persona 3 Dancing

Good Smile Company is a prominent Japanese manufacturer of collectible figures, particularly known for its Nendoroid and scale figure lines, regularly producing merchandise from popular anime and video game franchises.

The new figures depict Makoto Yuki and Ren Amamiya in the casual outfits featured in their respective dancing games.

GSC PERSONA STATUES

Both prototypes showcase active poses, designed to suggest movement and dancing.

The bases of the figures incorporate design elements referencing the “Moonlight” and “Starlight” subtitles from the games.

Both bases display the generic “Hero” name rather than the characters’ canonical names – a design choice clearly made to incorporate shared elements across both statues and also to probably to avoid lengthy names that would increase the cost of the finished product.

As a single photo featuring both unpainted prototypes was released by Good Smile Company, it is currently unclear as to whether the revealed figure will be sold as a complete set containing both characters, or whether they will be available to order separately.

The base appears to be slightly offset in this photo from the event, however this could be an intentional design element and is not necessarily an indicator that the statues are separate

Whilst the event photos appear to suggest that the bases are independent, the two products share the same announcement page on the official Good Smile Company website, which normally denotes that the products shown will be sold as is as a complete set.

Whether separate purchase options will be available will likely be revealed by Good Smile Company closer to the start of pre-orders, once painted prototypes have been completed.

These figures are currently in the unpainted prototype stage, indicating they are still some way from final production and as such, no information regarding their final appearance, release date, or pricing has been provided by Good Smile Company at this time.

This announcement was part of a broader series of reveals at Smile Fest 2025, an event where Good Smile Company often showcases upcoming products.

NENDOROID FUNS
A “NENDOROID FUNS” video that featured a huge range of new Nendoroid announcements also took place just before the Smile Fest event

As part of the event, Good Smile Company released a “NENDOROID FUNS” video through their official YouTube channel, which revealed a host of new Nendoroid figures including one of Stellar Blade’s Eve.
