Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Release Date and Collector’s Edition Revealed

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have officially confirmed the release date of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, the next installment in the long-running strategy RPG franchise for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Alongside the standard release, a premium version known as the Dagdan Collection will also be available on launch day.

The game’s narrative is set within the Dagdan Empire and follows the intertwined journeys of four central protagonists, each driven by their own ambitions and personal struggles.

Cai enters the empire’s competitive contests with the goal of securing a future for his father and overcoming the challenges standing in his way.

Dietrich is a seasoned swordsman whose search for ever more formidable opponents pushes him toward increasingly dangerous confrontations.

Theodora, a ruling queen, is motivated by a desire to realize the aspirations and long-held hopes of her homeland.

Leda, a talented musician, embarks on a path shaped by a deeply personal quest for revenge.

Outside of battle, players will have considerable freedom in how they spend their time and develop their forces.

Characters can improve their abilities through training activities, recruit additional companions to strengthen their roster, and venture beyond the safety of the city’s walls to gain experience and resources.

The game allows players to decide how to approach these opportunities, giving them flexibility in shaping their progression between major story events.

Combat retains the series’ signature turn-based tactical format, placing a strong emphasis on battlefield positioning, attack ranges, and the strengths and weaknesses of individual units.

Each of the four main heroes also possesses unique combat abilities that can influence strategy and provide distinctive advantages during encounters.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026, with the special Dagdan Collection edition releasing on the same date.
