Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis announces Final Fantasy XIII collaboration

A new collaboration has been announced for the mobile and PC role-playing game, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, which will be a crossover with the Final Fantasy XIII series.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a game that retells the entire story of the Final Fantasy VII compilation in a chapter-based format.

This new, limited-time in-game event will bring the world of Final Fantasy XIII into the game, with new costumes and a special boss battle.
A key part of the collaboration is the release of new costumes for the characters Tifa Lockhart and Aerith Gainsborough, which will allow them to dress up in the iconic outfit of Final-XIII’s protagonist, Lightning.

In a humorous reveal, the developers stated that the decision to give the same outfit to two different characters, a rare occurrence for the game, was the result of an internal dispute.
The team reportedly could not come to an agreement on which of the two popular heroines should get to wear the costume, so they ultimately decided to give it to both of them.
The collaboration will also feature an appearance from Lightning herself, who will be a special boss that players can fight against.

It has also been confirmed that the event will cover the entire Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, including content from Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns.

Further details about the collaboration are scheduled to be announced at a later date.
The Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis and Final Fantasy XIII series collaboration is scheduled to be held in November 2025.
