Domino’s Japan has launched a new social media campaign that is set to offer pizza fans the chance to win a unique prize.

The “#Pi-Zabuton Ōgiri SNS Campaign” contest will be held on the company’s official account on X.

“Ōgiri” is a style of Japanese comedy challenge, best described for those overseas as similar to Western improv comedy, where participants try to answer questions or hypothetical scenarios with a humorous answer.

For this campaign, Domino’s is asking customers to provide a funny caption when sharing the campaign photo, effectively creating their own meme, which will increase their chances of winning.

The grand prize is an “Extra-Large Pi-Zabuton,” a special set of cushions designed to look like a pizza.

“Zabuton” are traditional Japanese floor cushions, and this prize consists of eight individual, triangular cushions shaped like pizza slices.

Each cushion is printed on both sides with a realistic photo of the company’s popular “New York Style Pepperoni Lover” pizza.

When all eight cushions are arranged together, they form a massive, 160 centimeter diameter replica of a whole pizza.

The contest is designed to be a fun way to promote gathering with friends and family.

To enter the lottery, participants must follow the official Domino’s Pizza Japan X account and quote-repost the campaign announcement with the hashtag “#ピ座布団大喜利” (#PiZabutonŌgiri).

While not required, replying to the post with a funny caption for the provided image will increase an entrant’s chances of winning.

Three grand prize winners will be selected to receive the eight-piece “Extra-Large Pi-Zabuton” set.

If you don’t win, then you’ll just have to use a real pizza as a cushion instead

An additional seven winners will receive a coupon for a free, small take-out pizza.

The social media campaign begins on Tuesday, the 19th of August, and is scheduled to run until 11:59 PM on Sunday, the 24th of August, 2025, via the official Domino’s Japan X account.
