Exclusive RG Strike Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode Returns to Premium Bandai US
The RG 1/144 Strike Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode has returned to Premium Bandai US, with a new round of pre-orders now open for the exclusive Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY model kit.
This version depicts Kira Yamato’s Strike Freedom Gundam without its Phase Shift Armor activated, replacing the Mobile Suit’s familiar white, blue, red, and gold appearance with the subdued gray coloring seen while its systems are inactive.
The kit retains the detailed armor construction and mechanical styling of the standard Real Grade Strike Freedom Gundam, but its altered molded colors create a noticeably different presence that works particularly well for hangar scenes and side-by-side displays.
Its internal frame also receives a matte silver-plated finish in place of the original kit’s prominent gold coloring, complementing the darker exterior while preserving the visible mechanical detail beneath the armor.
Realistic Decals are included to add metallic accents, sensor details, caution markings, and other small finishing touches across the Mobile Suit.
The articulated Super DRAGOON wings can be spread across the back for aerial poses, while the waist-mounted railguns and wing-mounted plasma beam cannons can be moved forward to recreate Strike Freedom Gundam’s Full Burst configuration.
Its equipment includes two high-energy beam rifles that can be combined into a longer weapon, beam sabers, railguns, a beam shield, and the weapons integrated into its wing binders.
The RG 1/144 Strike Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode originally shipped through Premium Bandai in Japan in March 2014 before returning in December 2018, followed by additional February and April 2019 shipment waves and another Japanese reissue in July 2026 .
Premium Bandai US also recently offered the kit for September 2026 shipping, with the newly opened allocation extending its return through a second US shipment scheduled for November 2026 .

for $46.00, with orders scheduled to close on October 16, 2026, unless the available allocation is reached earlier, ahead of its planned November 2026 shipment .
