Evangelion Unit 02 inspired motorcycle to compete in endurance race championship

Evangelion Racing has confirmed its participation in the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship “Coca-Cola” Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, competing in the SST class for the 46th running of the event.
The team will partner with TONE Team4413, the reigning SST class champions from last year’s race, with the combined effort known as “Evangelion Racing x TONE Team4413”.

For the first time at the Suzuka 8 Hours, the team’s race machine will feature colors inspired by Evangelion Unit-02.
This red-themed motorcycle, based on a BMW M1000RR, will be called the “TONE Team4413 Eva Unit-02 BMW”.

The rider lineup includes a mix of talent and experience.
Tomoaki Hoshino, who has performed well in this season’s All Japan Road Race Championship, will serve as the first rider, while Yoshinosuke Yoshida, who also competes in the All Japan Road Race Championship, will be the second rider.

Leandro Mercado will take on the role of the third rider, having recently secured an SST class victory at the second round of the Endurance World Championship, the Spa 8 Hours.
This experienced trio aims to contend in the competitive SST class, and their goal is to secure a second consecutive class victory.

In conjunction with their Suzuka 8 Hours entry, Evangelion Racing has introduced special supporter plans, offered in collaboration with Rental 819, a nationwide motorcycle rental service.
Supporter packages include cheering merchandise, and some plans offer access to a VIP room on race day.

A plan that includes a premium collaboration watch is also available; this limited production item, with only 99 pieces, was created by KENTEX’s motorsports watch brand MOTO-R and Evangelion Racing.

Another plan offers a unique opportunity to ride the “Eva RT Unit-01 YZF-R7” display motorcycle.

This will allow participants to ride the motorcycle on the Suzuka Circuit during the “Meet with Bikes Parade 2025”, which takes place during race week.
Applications for these supporter plans are now open.
They range in price from 12,000 (approx. $82.35 USD / £60.43 GBP) for the cheering merchandise to 275,000 yen (approx. $1,887 USD / £1,385 GBP) for the motorcycle ride experience.

The 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race 2025 is scheduled to take place from Friday, August 1st to Sunday, August 3rd, 2025.
Further details on the team’s progress and supporter plans can be found on the official team website.
