Dragon Ball MOBA revealed by Bandai Namco, set for 2025 release
Bandai Namco Entertainment has provided an update on its previously announced “DRAGON BALL PROJECT:Multi”, revealing its official title as “Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra.”
The new game is due to be released in 2025 and will be available as a free download across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Android, and iOS.
The Dragon Ball franchise, created by Akira Toriyama, is a global phenomenon known for its martial arts action, powerful characters, and iconic transformations. This new title aims to deliver a fresh competitive experience within that universe.
Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra will feature 4v4 team-based arena battles, designed to offer players exhilarating combat and cooperative play with allies. A network test for the game is scheduled to begin on June 12th at 3:00 PM JST.
A new announcement trailer, released alongside the title reveal and network test information, showcases characters that have been added since the open beta test conducted in August 2024.
Details on these newly introduced characters will be revealed on the official X account.
The network test is presented as an opportunity for players to experience the game’s evolution since the August 2024 open beta.
Further updates regarding the network test will be shared on the game’s official social media channels.
A video featuring the game’s producer has also been released, discussing changes made since the August 2024 open beta and outlining development policies.
In preparation for the network test, an official Discord server for Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra has been launched.
This server will host patch notes detailing feature additions and balance adjustments from the development team. It will also include channels for players to find others to participate in the network test.
