Doraemon: Nobita And The New Castle Of The Undersea Devil Anime Film Ending Illustrations Revealed

The 45th installment of the Doraemon film series, Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil, has maintained its position at the top of the Japanese box office for four consecutive weeks as of March 24, 2026.
Since its theatrical debut in 387 locations on February 27, 2026, the animated feature has earned approximately 2.5 billion yen, which translates to roughly 15.76 million USD.

The film has reached this financial milestone through 194 million ticket sales, outperforming other recent releases such as the Assassination Classroom movie which debuted in seventh place during the same period.
On March 24, 2026, the production’s official website and social media channels released two of the nine special illustrations that appear during the film’s closing credits.

These newly revealed images show the primary cast members after the conclusion of their journey, while the remaining seven unreleased illustrations are said to feature characters from the franchise who are not part of the main movie plot.
Directed by Tetsuo Yajima and written by Isao Murayama, the project serves as a modern remake of the 1983 classic Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil.

The story follows Doraemon and his friends as they meet a sea dweller named El from the Mu Federation and engage in a high stakes mission to protect the Earth from beneath the ocean.
Based on the original manga created by Fujiko F Fujio, this latest success continues the long standing tradition of the franchise dominating the late February and March release window in Japan.
