Desktop Mate releases new Kasane Teto DLC pack

A new downloadable content pack has been released for the desktop mascot platform “Desktop Mate,” featuring the popular virtual singer, Kasane Teto.
“Desktop Mate” is a next-generation desktop mascot application that places high-quality, 3D characters on the user’s computer desktop.

These characters can interact with the environment in various ways, such as sitting on open windows, jumping between them, and playing with the mouse cursor.

Kasane Teto is famously known as the “diva born from a lie.”
She was originally created as an elaborate April Fool’s Day prank by users of a Japanese forum, who designed her as a fake new Vocaloid.

However, the character became so popular that she was developed into a real, functional singer for the UTAU and Synthesizer V voice synthesis programs.
According to the developer, Infinite Loop, Kasane Teto was the most highly requested character for the “Desktop Mate” platform from its user base.

This new DLC brings the character to life with 26 different original motions and 55 unique voice patterns.
The voice lines for the DLC were created using the recently released “VOICEPEAK Kasane Teto” text-to-speech software.

“Desktop Mate” has previously released DLC for other virtual singers, including Hatsune Miku, and has announced future plans for characters like Natsuki Karin, Chifuyu Hanakuma, and others.
The “Desktop Mate – Kasane Teto DLC” is now available for purchase on Steam, priced at ¥2,200.
