Desktop Mate announces new Megurine Luka DLC pack

Infinite Loop has announced the release of a new downloadable content pack for its “Desktop Mate” platform, featuring the virtual singer Megurine Luka.

“Desktop Mate” is a next-generation desktop mascot application that places high-quality, 3D characters on the user’s computer desktop.

These characters can interact with the environment in various ways, such as sitting on open windows, jumping between them, and playing with the mouse cursor, serving as a charming digital companion.

Megurine Luka is a popular virtual singer from Crypton Future Media, who first debuted in 2009.

She is known for her distinctive, long pink hair, and her original software was notable for being the first to be bilingual, capable of singing in both Japanese and English.

This new DLC brings the cool and slightly mysterious character to life on your desktop.

The add-on features a completely new, high-quality 3D model that faithfully recreates her iconic design.

Special, original voice lines for Megurine Luka have also been recorded for the DLC.

Her warm and cool voice will speak to you in various situations as you work, creating a new way to interact with the character.

Other previously released characters for the platform include Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto, with future DLC planned for characters like Natsuki Karin and Chifuyu Hanakuma.
