Deluxe Evangelion Unit-02 diorama statue announced by Prime 1 Studio

High-end collectible manufacturer Prime 1 Studio announced a new statue of Evangelion Unit-02, marking their fourth collaboration with mechanical designer Josh Nizzi for the Evangelion series.
The reveal took place during the company’s recent event, “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XIV: THE BRIDGES BETWEEN WORLDS.”

Prime 1 Studio is known in the collectibles industry for producing large-scale, intricately detailed statues based on popular video game, anime, and comic book franchises.
Their “NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE” events are typically used to present their latest premium offerings to a global audience of collectors.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a globally influential Japanese anime franchise created by Hideaki Anno.
Since its debut in 1995, the series has become a cultural touchstone recognized for its complex narrative, psychological depth, and iconic mecha designs, known as Evangelions or “Evas.”

Evangelion Unit-02 is piloted by Asuka Langley Soryu and is the first production model Evangelion, distinct for its vibrant red color and more aggressive combat style compared to Unit-01.
Josh Nizzi is a renowned mechanical designer and concept artist, whose work has been featured in major Hollywood films and video games, bringing a distinctive, often realistic and detailed, aesthetic to his collaborations.

His previous work with Prime 1 Studio on Evangelion pieces, which has included a life-size bust of Evangelion Unit-01, has offered a unique reinterpretation of the franchise’s mechs.
Pre-orders for the Evangelion Unit-02 diorama statue are expected to open in Q3 2025.
