Dandadan’s Turbo Granny stars in new Fanta commercial

A new collaboration has been revealed that brings the world of the chaotic anime series Dandadan into a popular series of television commercials for the soft drink Fanta.
The new commercial is titled “Class 3-T! Mr./Ms. Dandadan,” a title that parodies classic Japanese school dramas like “Class 3-B! Mr. Kinpachi.”

Dandadan, based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, is a series known for its unique and high-energy blend of science fiction, supernatural occult horror, and romantic comedy.
Fanta’s commercials in Japan have often featured humorous, classroom-based scenarios.

This new advertisement places one of Dandadan’s most formidable spirits, Turbo Granny, in the unlikely role of a teacher.
The commercial depicts a classroom scene where Turbo Granny stands before a blackboard scrawled with the words, “Turbo Granny’s Lesson.”

She proceeds to act out with her signature disruptive and unruly behavior.
A female student, designed to resemble the series’ class president, Rinpu Sawaki, attempts to call her out for her conduct.
In response, Turbo Granny yells her iconic and vulgar catchphrase, “Kuso daraa!” at the student.

Though limited to just a commercial at this stage, the Dandadan x Fanta collaboration brings the bizarre and comedic energy of the anime into the familiar format of Fanta’s commercials, creating a surprising crossover for fans of both.
