DAN DA DAN Season 3 confirmed for 2027 premiere at Jump Festa ’26

The paranormal chaos surrounding Momo Ayase and Okarun is far from over.
During the Sunday stage presentation at Jump Festa ’26, the production staff for the DAN DA DAN anime officially announced that a third season is in development.

Slated for a premiere in 2027, the announcement was accompanied by the reveal of a new key visual featuring the series’ signature chaotic energy.
Animation studio Science SARU continues to helm the adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular “paranormal mystery battle and romantic comedy” manga.

The series has seen a rapid release schedule recently; the second season premiered just months ago on July 3, airing in the “Super Animeism Turbo” block on MBS and TBS before concluding its 12-episode run on September 18.
That season was directed by Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora, with streaming availability across Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu.

Prior to the television broadcast, the franchise saw theatrical success with DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE, a cinematic screening of the first three episodes of Season 2, which grossed an estimated $3,096,000 USD during its opening weekend in North America.
The story follows Momo, a high schooler from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic.

After a debate regarding the existence of aliens versus ghosts, the two find themselves plunged into a world where both exist, leading to battles that transcend comprehension
The manga is currently serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service, with English publication handled by Viz Media and MANGA Plus.

The confirmation of DAN DA DAN Season 3’s release window caps off a weekend of major reveals at Jump Festa ’26.
The event has been packed with high-profile news, including the confirmation that Sakamoto Days will return for a second season and the announcement of a 10th Anniversary project and bonus episode for My Hero Academia.

Attendees were also treated to the news that Blue Box will debut its second season in Fall 2026, Mashle: Magic and Muscles is set for a third season in 2027, and Toei Animation offered fans a first look at the “Reboot Project” for World Trigger, which is set to re-adapt the series from the start.
