Chainsaw Man’s Adorable New Life-Size Pochita Barks, Growls and Even Makes Engine Sounds
Chainsaw Man’s adorable Chainsaw Devil is getting one of his biggest collectibles yet, with MegaHouse transforming Pochita into a life-size 60 cm doll complete with movable limbs, interactive sounds and a pullable tail.
The new “LIFE SIZE DOLL TV Anime Chainsaw Man Pochita” recreates him at 1/1 scale, giving collectors a version designed to look and feel considerably closer to actually having Denji’s four-legged companion sitting around the house.
Pochita plays a fundamental role in Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man as the Chainsaw Devil and Denji’s closest companion, initially sharing his impoverished life before ultimately becoming his heart and giving him the ability to transform into Chainsaw Man.
That relationship makes the character particularly well suited to MegaHouse’s LIFE SIZE DOLL concept, which is built around recreating characters as larger dolls intended to exist alongside their owners rather than simply sitting statically as part of a collection.
MegaHouse has previously used the line for a life-size Detective Pikachu measuring around 40 cm tall, but Pochita pushes the format considerably further as he measures approximately 60 cm from end to end.
The doll recreates Pochita’s rounded orange body with a soft polyester construction, while his signature chainsaw blade projects prominently from his head and the sculpt around its base preserves the character’s plump, rounded muzzle.
His oversized glossy eyes are also reproduced to retain the innocent expression that contrasts so strongly with the large chainsaw emerging from his forehead.
Instead of being completely fixed in place, adjustable joint components are built into each of Pochita’s four legs, allowing their angles to be changed depending on how the doll is positioned or displayed.
MegaHouse has also made the starter-cord-style tail physically pullable, adding another interactive detail based directly on the way Pochita appears in the anime.
The biggest feature is hidden inside the doll, where a sound unit gives Pochita five different audio effects that respond as collectors interact with him.
Pressing or stroking his back and holding him can trigger familiar vocalizations including a cheerful “Wan!” bark and a low growling sound, while chainsaw engine noises are also included among the five available effects.
The electronics run on three AAA batteries, which will need to be purchased separately, while the main doll and its built-in five-sound audio unit are supplied together with an instruction manual.
Pochita has already received plenty of attention through recent Chainsaw Man merchandise, including a knit cardigan from glamb that weaves the Chainsaw Devil directly into the fabric using artwork inspired by his appearance in Kenshi Yonezu’s “IRIS OUT” music video.
He has also continued appearing alongside the wider cast in merchandise for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, including a 2026 pop-up collection featuring Denji, Reze, Makima, Aki, Power, Pochita and several other characters across badges, acrylic stands, towels and additional goods.
Bandai is continuing that Reze Arc merchandise push later this month with its second themed Ichiban Kuji, which includes new figures of Denji, Reze, Aki and the Angel Devil alongside acrylic stands, posters, stickers and other collectibles.
Pre-orders for MegaHouse’s “LIFE SIZE DOLL TV Anime Chainsaw Man Pochita” open on September 11 at 1:00 PM JST, with availability limited to Premium Bandai, AmiAmi and Animate.
The 1/1 scale Pochita doll is priced at ¥29,150 (approximately $189 / £140) and is scheduled for release in late February 2027.
