Chainsaw Man is taking over Universal Studios Japan for Halloween

Universal Studios Japan is set to host a large-scale collaboration with the popular anime series Chainsaw Man for its upcoming “Halloween Horror Nights” event.
The collaboration will feature a new, original 4-D theater attraction and a special version of the park’s “Hollywood Dream – The Ride” roller coaster.
The main attraction is “Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D.”

This new experience is a 4-D film with an original story that sees park guests caught in the middle of a battle between the Public Safety Devil Hunters and a new, original devil.
In the story, the park’s own Halloween mascot, “Smiley the Pumpkin,” is revealed to be a devil, who unleashes a horde of zombies upon the theater.

The attraction will feature the main characters from the series, including Denji, Aki Hayakawa, Power, and Kobeni, as they fight back against the demonic threat.
The 4-D experience is designed to be highly immersive, with effects that replicate the feeling of splashing blood and the breath of the devils.

In addition to the theater attraction, the “Hollywood Dream – The Ride” roller coaster will also feature a Chainsaw Man theme.
The standard, forward-facing version of the coaster will become the “~KICK BACK: Samurai Sword VS. Chainsaw Man ver.~.”

This version will feature an original audio drama of a battle between Chainsaw Man and the Samurai Sword devil, set to the anime’s famous opening theme song, “KICK BACK” by Kenshi Yonezu.
The backwards operating version of the coaster, “Hollywood Dream – The Ride ~Backdrop~”, will also feature “KICK BACK” as the music played during the ride.

The Chainsaw Man collaboration events will be held at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka from Friday, the 5th of September, until Monday, the 3rd of November, 2025.
